London Hit By Tornado

This is soooo weird. A Tornado in London.

Many people are spending the night in a respite centre after a tornado ripped through several streets in north-west London.
Up to 150 houses and many cars were damaged when the freak weather hit the Kensal Rise area.

New Spray-On Condom

This was brought to my attention by Trundling Grunt/Anon/Neil and was too good not to share.

Vinico, apparently a German condom manufacturers has teamed up with the institute for Condom Consultancy to launch a spray-on condom tailor-made for all sizes. According to them,

Our team is developing a type of spray can into which the man inserts his penis first. At the push of a button it is then coated in a rubber condom. It works by spraying on latex from nozzles on all sides. We call it the '360 degree procedure' -- once round and from top to bottom. It's a bit like a car wash. The plan is to make the product ready for use in about five seconds. We believe it would function more effectively as a contraceptive because it would fit better and not slip. However, before the new condom can be sold in shops, the firm must ensure that the latex is evenly spread when sprayed, as well as optimise the vulcanization process. We had hit upon the idea when considering the difficulties some people faced using condoms, and drew inspiration from spray-on plasters now used in medicine.

They are also looking for people to test the condom:

We are looking for 30 Condom-Testers. Your job is testing the new condom. We are looking for men with a penislengh from 9 until 12 cm and 15 until 20 cm. Men between 13 to 14 cm are welcome, too. You should have experience with condoms and beeing almost 18 years old. Your data will be kept very safe. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Sounds intriguing, if possibly painful and innefective.

The Meaning and Culture of Grand Theft Auto

Okay, so Grand Theft Auto (starting at the third one, anyway) was a revolutionary game that changed and inspired games to come after it. And its themes of violence and misogyny have been raked through the media and subject to politics and idiot like Jack Thomson. But I think the intelligentsia have gone a little too far in analyzing the meaning of the game in this new book with essays on the series. As examples:
